Children’s respite and short breaks
Our children’s respite service provides Saturday and school-holiday sessions for children with disabilities. The service page explains what sessions look like, the support we can plan and what families can expect.
Access through Sheffield SNIPs
Some children access short breaks through Sheffield City Council’s SNIPs route. Our SNIPs page explains the relationship between the council’s assessment and ICCare’s role as a provider.
Adult support
Families looking for adult support can read separately about our day services, residential setting and community support. Each page explains the purpose of that service without mixing it with children’s provision.
What to include in an enquiry
- Who the enquiry is for and their age.
- The type of support being considered.
- Any communication, mobility or immediate safety needs we should understand.
- Whether a social worker, school or another professional is involved.
You do not need to send confidential records through a general enquiry. We will explain the secure next step if further information is required.
What happens after you contact us?
You should not have to work out every referral rule before asking a question. We start with the broad need and make the route clear.
- 01Start with a simple enquiry
Tell us who the support is for, their age, the broad need and whether a school, social worker or another professional is involved.
- 02We explain the correct route
We will clarify whether the next step sits with ICCare, Sheffield SNIPs, an adult-services conversation or another service.
- 03Detailed information is shared securely
If an ICCare service may be suitable, we agree the assessment and secure information-sharing steps before any place or support arrangement is confirmed.
Safety, feedback and complaints
Use the safeguarding page when somebody may be at risk of harm. Use the complaints page when you want ICCare to investigate a concern about our service. If you are unsure, contact us and we will help direct it.
